On Monday we spent the morning at Lake Area ministry helping them sort food, pack bags, organize their rooms, and giving the food to people. So that we could bless people with food, and that they may know about Jesus. After we got back we went and had a lake day where we went down the water slide, went tubing, and jumped on the trampoline. Last, we ended the day with chapel and singing worship by the fire.

Local Mission Trip 2022
My experience for today’s local mission trip was pretty fun. We had worship followed by a devotion. Then we headed out to the daycare center which was also fun. All the kids loved us there and loved playing with us. After that we went back to the school for lunch which was chick fil a. Then we went to Boca Helping Hands and helped pack meat and label stuff. So overall the first day was pretty good.

Sophomore Mission Trip 2022
On Saturday, the sophomores worked very hard to make the camp look nice!
To start the day, the students were divided into 2 groups and competed in team bonding obstacle courses. During our morning work time we painted fences, built a huge pile,
burning old wood and debris, and we worked really hard on digging a drainage ditch. Later in the day, everyone got to enjoy the lake activities like water slides, trampoline, tubing, and canoeing. It was a great first full day at Lake Swan Camp!

s". This message dealt with relatable circumstances to the students and taught us that we have to choose happiness. Once we prayed and got on board the bus, driven by Mr. Kincaid, we made our way to Florence Fuller to help out with the kids. The kids spanned from as young as a couple of months, which Victoria C., Palloma j., and Mrs. Pelletier took care of, to 5 years old, which Chesko F., Nichita B., and Heidi B. took care of. All the students felt compassion and love for the children who we were sad to leave, "All the kids were crying," said Mrs. Shaffer when Faith P., Valerie G., Victor O., and Jimmy V. left. After lunch, we finished our day at Veterans Park to pick up the trash and clean up the area where many enjoy spending their time in. When all of us finished cleaning up and exploring the park we relaxed on the playground and had great conversations. To finish off the day we prayed for important matters like the Ukraine situation and said our goodbyes.
