Junior Missions 2025

Yesterday was our spectacular day at Zion National Park. We started our day really early, when we got there we made our lunches and we started our hike. We all in our big group went up this beautiful mountain and saw deer, other wildlife, and beautiful views. After our first hike, we split into groups of our choice and went to different areas of the park to hike with our friends. After hiking for a while most of us decided to sit in the lodge and rest, eat food, or go to the gift shop. As our time at Zion came to a close, we headed back to our cars and embarked on our hour drive back to the dream center. When we got back we had a delicious dinner at a mexican restaurant called "Blue Agave". As our last day in Utah/Arizona came to a close, we heard a powerful testimony from one of our hosts there, Olivia and a powerful message from Carlos. We then cleaned the bunkhouse for the next guests and we finally ended our day.

Local Missions 2025

Today, before we began our trip we did a devotion and sang a worship song. Then afterwards we left school and went to help take care of some kids. The first classroom I went into was a classroom labeled The Dolphin classroom. I got to listen to the teacher talk to the little kids about what the word marine means and what lives in the ocean. Then I went over to a different classroom and helped a teacher clean the tables after the kids had snack time. After that we all got to watch and participate in the Saint Patrick's day parade. Finally, after arriving back inside the classroom I read the kids 2 books and asked them questions about what I read. Then it was time to get back on the bus and head back to school for lunch. We enjoyed Chick-fil-A for lunch in Modular 1. Then We headed back out and went to the campus of an organization called Place Of Hope, where I got to help clean the fence and throw some stuff into the dumpster. I had so much fun today and got to get to know my classmates a little better in the process. I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me.

Sophomore Missions 2025

Posted by: Gabby, Gabby, and Clare

Hi everyone, this is Gabby, Gabby

, and Clare. Today we woke up to a delectable breakfast that consisted of warm cinnamon rolls and bacon. After a quick devotional period, we loaded the Longview Cool Bus and headed to church. We went to an extended campus of First Christian Church that meets in a local high school. After a lovely sermon on encouragement and worship, we headed to Zaxby's and Bojangles where we had lunch. We made a pit stop at Walmart to pick up any necessities or snacks we needed, then reloaded the bus and started to venture to Margarette Falls. We hiked a fairly strenuous 1.2 miles to see the rushing waters, and for some, take a swim. We headed back to camp where we finished our day eating pizza, reciting memory verses, worshipping, and discussing Ephesians 4. Later, the girls in Blackbear Lodge planned a function full of homemade rice krispie treats, cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, and candy. Goodnight from the Sophomores at Longview!

Sophomore Missions 2025

Posted by:Sophomore Class

Day two at Longview was a hard earned success. We began the day with the devotions as the whole class read and meditated on Ephesians chapter 2. After breakfast, we split up into groups for work.

Longview Ranch has been hosting ministry groups who are helping this area of Appalachia recover from the hurricane that hit in September. Part of Longview‘s property was destroyed, and some of their neighbors lost lives, property, and family members. Our team helped maintain and stain the cabins used to host these work groups, and they also helped move and haul scrap metal and other debris. The moving and hauling crew Walked many miles today and loaded trailer after trailer with debris, metal, logs, and whatever else needed to be cleaned up. The painting crew repainted five different cabins on campus, including a couple that were several stories high. (Shout out to Mr. Visser who was the ladder king with his paint roller!) They also repainted fencing with a stain that prevents the wood from rotting. All of the groups worked so hard that we surprised the Longview staff with how much we were able to accomplish in one day!

The food at Longview is incredible because, as the students have recognized, it is made with love . Big kids have enjoyed getting to know the Longview staff, including Boca Christian Alum, Sam Blakely. We enjoyed burgers for lunch and nacho bowls for dinner with warm brownies and ice cream, a crowd favorite! The evening included Gabby Leon, Clare, and Jagger leading us in worship, and Mr. Hood leading the class in a time of discussion about Ephesians. To put a cherry on top of our epic day, a competitive game of manhunt was organized.

Day Three at Longview began with breakfast at eight. It was French toast and sausages and it was good. Then we went to work! The girls finished painting all the buildings on campus, the final of which was the dining hall. Some girls painted black fences near the horses. The boys worked in the wood barn area and we moved around pieces of metal. We were sorting stuff and we were breaking down pieces of concrete with sledgehammers, which was awesome.

After chicken tenders and Mac and cheese for lunch, we came over in front of the Office cabin, and there were too giant piles of mulch. We spread the mulch to make a nice path from one side of the front of the cabin to the other and then after that we played paintball, which was very fun! Paintball was the best part of the day. Josh’s team was victorious, but Mr. Hood got the most people out. Paintball was the best part of the day because it was fun shooting at people.

The day concluded with everybody gathering in our giant circle and saying most of Ephesians by memory (well, almost by memory…some of us are still working on our portions.) Then we had worship and discussed Ephesians 3 before another epic game of manhunt.

Praise the Lord for holding off the rain today; when looking at the weather radar, it was like the hand of God was pushing the giant thunderstorm just off Longview’s campus.

Yesterday we had a very fufilling day, we grew as a class while helping the people in Hildale. We started out with a very good but simple breakfast of biscuits and gravy. Afterwards we came to the bunkhouse for a very inspiring devotional with our chaperones. We were then put into different groups to serve, one group was cleaning fire hydrants, helping out at the food bank, and passing out flyers for our outreach Sunday, while the other group went to Christine Marie's to help paint and build tables. When we were done with all of our work, our leaders treated us to coffee and hot cocoa at Beans & Brews. We came back to the bunkhouse for dinner which was spaghetti and salad. We then had our worship which was really amazing, Charlotte gave us a really great opening and Mr. Gesin really took it home with his sermon. Then was just free time where everyone played games and others unwinded from the full day we had.

Today we hung out with the kids at Florence Fuller and had an amazing time, getting to help cheer them up when they are sad and make them laugh or putting a smile on there faces was the highlight of my day! The kids there are just so special and there each so different and several different ways and that’s what makes them unique, i loved going there and spending time with them today and it was such a blessing and such a great experience!

Sophomore Missions 2025

Posted by:Piper & Kasiya

Hello! This is Piper and Kasiya from the Boca Christian Missions Trip. This morning our flight departed at around 9 am and we flew into Knoxville, Tennessee where we ate at Mcdonald's and Wendy's, we then drove to Longview Ranch and arrived around 2. We then settled into our cabins and did silent prayer/ devotional time, where we read Ephesians 1. Once we finished reading, Kasiya rehearsed for praise and worship and I had free time. Once free time ended we all gathered to eat dinner-a delicious meal of baked ziti and garlic bread with peach cobbler for dessert. We then practiced our memory verses all together and sang worship songs. The class had a great discussion on what we learned from Ephesians 1. We then had 2 more hours of free time where Kasiya and I played pickleball. At 10:30 it was time for lights out and we headed to bed after a long and eventful day!

Today was the second day of the local missions trip. Everything was a lot easier because we had already started to adjust to the new environments. We went back to Florence Fuller daycare all the kids were starting to get used to us and started to show their rambunctious personalities. There were the babies that just wanted to be held and there were the babies that just wanted to jump on you. We ended mostly playing with blocks and dolls and having a great time. We then went over to Boca helping hands. Today we had a lot more students with us and so it was exponentially easier to  prepare the food in the boxes for the kids. We ended our day with some ice cream.
