Paddle Hard!

Posted by: Shaye
Today was amazing and wild! We went down to the Pacuare river to go white water rafting. We split up into three boats and paddled our way down the river. The sights were amazing! We floated through a canyon with a gorgeous waterfall, and even got to get out of the boat and swim. Our guide, Amanda, explained to us how our life is like a raft ride with God as our guide. We have to listen to God's voice to get through life, just like we have to listen to our guide to get through the river safely. We all had a blast! Oh yeah Faith flew out of the boat during one of the rapids but don't worry she is fine!

I agree with Shaye, today was amazing! The drive up was about 3 hours long but it was very beautiful to drive through the rainforest. We stopped for breakfast on the top of a mountain with a beautiful view. Once we got there we took a 1/2 mile hike down the mountain to the place where the ride started. It was really fun to ride through the rapids with our friends as it brought us closer together. We faced class 1-4 rapids and it was "muy fablioso!" It rained too but it felt good. We had excellent fruit half way through that included pineapple, watermelon, papaya, cantelope, and hearts of palm. At the end we had a great lunch of sandwiches. Thank you all for your prayers and comments, even though a lot of them were "irrelavant" ;)

Prayer Requests: That God would continue to work in the hears of our Seniors, for a safe drive and hike tomorrow, and for the continuation of the building of class unity.

Unfortunately, I am not sure if I am going to be able to get an internet connection tomorrow night. Rest assured, I will update the blog as soon as I am able! Stay tuned!

I love the pictures! Shaye, I also love the analogy your raft guide made about listening to the voice of God! I really loved the video of the jungle "animals" making all the noises they love to make and have tried to make in the hallways for years and for which they got in trouble! It was nice to see them get to let loose! Real animals could not have sounded more authentic! :) Thank you for the prayer requests, Faith - it helps us to know specifically how to pray! Love, Mrs. Lynch

Your white water rafting photos are Fab!! I'm sure it was amazing. I survived several white water adventures, so Mrs. Riter, I'll go with sky diving for 500! What do you think, Lunch Lady-- Are you up for Sky Diving this summer? I love a good challenge!

According to their past blogs, it looks like the seniaaas are midnight bloggers. That is the official time of bloggers, you know! Mrs. Lynch, I see you're getting into character with calling the seniors, "seniaas." You are now an official "Bloggard." Meg or Gabby can explain. Next thing you know you'll be eating "Murray" cookies--a favorite among midnight Bloggards!!!I agree, we might suffer from blogging withdrawal, but if we have a daily blog, we'll get nothing done for the rest of the year. Hey, aren's SAT's coming soon? I don't want all of our brains to go to mush!

Who loves our moderator? We do!!!! We appreciate you, so much, Mrs. Wilson! I love you too, MeG=0! My prayer for the seniors is that this last night that they have together is an amazing Spiritual time...a time where they will grow closer as a class but more importantly, that they will grow closer to the Lord. Seniors, enjoy these last few moments together! You will never have these moments together again! Praying for God to move in your lives and for you to have a safe return! Mrs. Lynch P.S. Love you, Mrs. Seely! I'm so glad you and Miss Fisher are at the HS!
