Posted by:Jet lagged! And ready to go! We got off our second flight in Phoenix. I think just about everybody was celebrating the ending of a long 5 hours (both flights included). We loaded up into our separate vehicles. Arriving to our destination, the wonderful aroma of hamburgers on the grill had everybody's mouth watering. The lunch was absolutely scrumptious! Everything was going great so far in Arizona until our next big task was hiking the Papago national park's mountains. The first initial thought was "oh this is going to be easy". The large rock formations were steep and far more dangerous than I expected. Watching the gravel tumble down the rock because you slipped was quite heart stopping! As a class though we helped each other safely get up to the top as well as get everyone down. It was definitely a highlight to our day. After our exhausting trip of hiking, we were ready to meet our new home for the next few days.
When we arrived at the Dream Center, it was much different than any of us expected. We are thrilled to be here though, and between dinner with the disciples, a run to the nearby grocery store, and devotions, we are ready to serve. So, after a long, 22 ish hour day, we fell asleep like babies. More later, but everyone is safe and excited for more opportunities!
